Saturday 30th July-after both 1st Team and Reserves fixtures the FC will be hosting a Club BBQ, an opportunity to chill after a hard pre season and for players and supporters to enjoy the Food & Bar!
Olney Town FC have moved quickly to recruit a new 1st Team Management Team. We are delighted to announce that Neil Griffiths will rejoin the Club after a break from UCL football having previously spent a number of seasons at Olney Town.
Neil will be bringing with him Ben Hill as his Assistant Manager, Chris Pink as 1st Team Coach and Diego Vasquez as Goal-keeping Coach.
Paul Tough stated-
"Although we are disappointed to lose Steve Kuhne we have moved quickly to appoint Neil in order to see the Club continue the excellent progress of 2015/16. We remain ambitous both on and off the field but have to live within our means if we are to achieve full ground grading requirements. Olney Town FC is a vastly different place today than it was 6/7 years ago and we will continue to strive to be the very best we can and deliver truly great facilities for our memebers and opposition!"
The new Management Team will be ably supported by the Reserve Management Team of Jamie Lands, Dave Morgan and Luke Anthony Carey.
Neil is delighted to rejoin the Club, having spent alot of time coaching the Colts at Olney Town FC and has used his time out of management time effectively-
"I am absolutely delighted to be back in management with a club that I know very well.
It is a really exciting challenge, each time I've joined a club previously they have been in the lower reaches of their division and the appointment has come with little pressure.
The good work of Steve Kuhne means that improvement would represent a top 3 finish and winning the County Cup. The new and different challenge makes us all the more driven to once again improve the football club.
Personally the break has done me wonders, I have increased my coaching badges, watched plenty of football and tried to make sure I've developed and not stood still.
Completing my management team is Ben Hill (a former Olney Town player) as Assistant Manager, Chris Pink as Coach and Diego Vasquez as Goal Keeping Coach. Between the 4 of us we have coaching badges up to UEFA B and playing experience at every level of the pyramid from professional to grassroots.
All existing players are heavily encouraged to return in pre season, a new manager can sometimes represent instability BUT we are not looking to disband the team with 16 new arrivals but add a small handful of genuine quality to what is already a competitive team as we look to hit our targets.
Olney Town would like to wish all its Management Teams the very best for the forthcoming 2016/17 season!
It is with regret that following discussions with Steve Kuhne the Club has accepted his resignation.
The discussions followed extensive talks with both the FA and UCL in relation to ground grading improvements in which everybody knows that we have 2 years in which to complete our Changing Room and ground fencing projects- all parties have worked together on this matter BUT it is the Committee's plan and requirement that we want to fully comply with the FA rulings by the 2018/19 season.
Over the past 7 years we have already committed over 150k into ground improvements and we will continue to invest both on and off the field in line with FA requirements.
With this in mind the Football Club are re budgeting for the forthcoming season with a focus on both maintaining our team plans as well as ensuring that we are able to commence building works this time next year.
Steve has been everything that we asked for and has led the squad to a 4th place UCL 1 finish, the Berks & Bucks Final and the quarter final of the UCL KOC.
And we thank him for his total commitment and professionalism to the job!
A further announcement with regard to the 1st Team Managers job will be made over the next few days.
Saturday 30th April
Great end to the season for Olney Town FC as both teams move up places in their leagues!

Tuesday 19th April
Great win tonight for 1st Team in their local derby against Buckingham Town-winning 2-1 @ Manor Fields.
Olney took the lead through a Jack Weeden header following a great ball in from James Sage.
The game was turned on its head mid way through the 1st half when Gary Thurston was judged to have handled the ball - a very harsh and poor decision from the officials who not only gave a penalty but also sent Gary Thurston off!!
However, Olney remained on top and took the lead again towards the end of the 1st half with a great weaving run and shot from Jack Weeden - we believe this was his 33rd goal of the season!
A disciplined defensive performance in the 2nd half saw the game out and secure the 3 points moving Olney Town back into the top 6 with just 2 home games to come!

Last night it was a privilege to take Michael "Mick" Brown to the Madejski Stadium @ Reading FC to receive the highly prestigious Meritorious Award for services to Football!
If ever there was a "one club man" then Mick Brown fits the bill-over 50 years service and never a season missed nor his head turned!
Born in 1948 Mick made his debut for Olney Town Reserves on 13th September 1961 at the te...nder age of 13 before finally breaking into the 1st Team in the 1967/68 season when he made his debut against St Neot's Town. Mick ended his playing days in the 1988/89 season for the Reserves at ON Chenecks in November 1988.
Mick was a tenacious hard tacking defensive midfield player who went on to make over 400 1st Team appearances as well as accumulating over 365 matches for the Reserves over a career spanning some 27 years-now that is loyalty and dedication!
Whilst scoring some 12 goals for the Reserves Mick never actually scored for the 1st Team!
Mick's loyalty for the Club did not end there and he took an active role in the development of the Colts and Sunday Teams. He also assisted Andrew Griffin as Assistant Manager/Physio in a successful spell for the reserves.
In addition Mick has also been Fixture Secretary for Olney Town for over 35 years and a member of the Committee for many more!
And in his role on the Committee Mick is still a "champion" to all Olney Town members who see him working tirelessly week in and week out sorting the dressing rooms before and after matches, sweeping out the stands and checking the nets. And that's just during the season for as soon as the season ends Mick heads up the summer Maintenance Team.
It is with great sadness that we announce that one of Olney Town's Club Legends passed away overnight-John Campion The Club would like to extend our sympathies to all of John's family at this sad time.
More details on John's career at Olney Town will follow.
It is with regret that the FC will not be entering a Sunday Team into the MKSFL this year.
The Sunday Team have consistently performed well at the highest level in the Premier Division, as well as winning the Sunday League Cup.
However, we will be celebrating the achievements of the Sunday Team in the forthcoming months-WATCH THIS SPACE!
